The opening animation of Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective, which premiered on January 1 JST (effectively January 2 at 12 AM JST), has been uploaded to the Aniplex YouTube channel.
Ryu Nakayama, who is perhaps best known for directing the Chainsaw Man TV anime (other past credits include storyboarding and directing the Gamers! and The Ryuo’s Work Is Never Done! openings), is the opening animation’s director and producer. The Nakayama-founded Andraft Inc. handled the animation production.
Among the other staff credits are Satamomo as storyboard artist and Shusaku Takayanagi (Tentai Kansoku) as compositing director. The opening song is Aimer‘s “SCOPE.”
Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective is based on the books series written by Mikito Chinen and illustrated by Noizi Ito, with the first two episodes featuring original material from Chinen. Protagonist Takao Ameku is a brilliant doctor at Tenikai General Hospital’s special department that deals with tricky-to-diagnose cases.
