The first trailer, as well as a key visual, for the mono TV anime has arrived. Based on this preview of the anime (which adapts the 4-koma manga by Laid-Back Camp‘s Afro), there will be a decent dose of comfy-feeling comedic faces and some animation highlights, like a selfie stick shot with background animation.
There are also new staff credit reveals, including Naoya Morotomi (The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls U149 Episode 9 storyboard artist and director) as assistant director and Kisei Fujita (Encouragement of Climb: Next Summit line producer, Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time co-retake manager) as animation producer.
mono follows three Cinephoto club girls and a manga artist. The Houbunsha-published manga started in 2017 and is currently serialized in Manga Time Kirara Carat. There are four tankoubon volumes as of April 2024.The anime premieres in April.
