The first promotional character trailer has been released for the upcoming BADGIRL TV anime series, spotlighting the characters Yu Yutani and Suzu Suzukaze. The anime is scheduled to premiere in Japan in July 2025.
The new character trailer also previews the song “Tsuppari High School Rock’n Roll (Toko-hen),” performed by the four main voice cast members of the series as the newly formed voice unit Tenrogun. It will be the unit’s first single together.
Joji Furuta (Shaman King, Shaman King Flowers) is directing the anime series, with Shoji Yonemura (Shaman King, Shaman King Flowers) as series screenwriter, Yuki Morimoto (Boarding School Juliet) as character designer, and Alisa Okehazama (The God of High School) as music composer. Bridge is in charge of the animation production.
The manga is based on the 4-koma manga series by Nikumaru, which began serialization in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Carat on March 27, 2021. Four tankobon volumes have been released as of July 2024. BADGIRL follows Yu, a self-proclaimed delinquent, who idolizes the public morals committee president Atori, and wants to grab her attention.
