Shortly after the finale of its second cour, it was announced that the third and final cour of Dr. Stone Science Future will premiere in Japan in 2026. A new visual of Senku was also released. Additionally, TOHO animation’s official YouTube channel began streaming a special anime music video of the song “no man’s world -for lonely scientist-.” The song is a special edition version of otoha’s “no man’s world,” which is the ending theme of Dr. Stone Science Future’s second cour.
Dr. Stone Science Future serves as the fourth and final season of the Dr. Stone anime adaptation, which will consist of three split cours. The anime’s second cour was broadcast in Japan on July 10, 2025 and ran for 12 episodes until September 25, 2025. The first cour aired in Japan from January 9, 2025 to March 27, 2025 and also aired for 12 episodes.
The main staff, who also worked on the first cour, consists of Shuhei Matsushita (Dr. Stone Ryusei and Dr. Stone New World) as director, Kurasumi Sunayama (The Healer Who Was Banished From His Party, Is, in Fact, the Strongest) as series screenwriter, and Yuko Iwasa (returning) as character designer. TMS Entertainment is in charge of the animation production.
The first season of Dr. Stone was released in 2019, which is followed by the second season of Stone Wars in 2021. The third season, Dr. Stone: New World, began its first cour in April 2023 and the second cour in October 2023.
The anime is based on the adventure science fiction manga, written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi, which ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from March 6, 2017 to March 7, 2022 and released 27 total tankobon volumes. VIZ Media publishes the manga series in English.
