SPY x FAMILY Season 3 October Premiere - There’s less than a week before SPY x FAMILY Season 3 brings the Forgers back to the small screen on October 4. Ahead of the action-comedy’s return, the TOHO animation YouTube channel has released the Season 3 opening animation for early viewing.
The opening animation, which features catchy color choices and is set to Spitz‘ “Hi o Mamoru,” is storyboarded and unit directed by Shingo Natsume. Natsume’s probably best known as the director of One-Punch Man Season 1, and his other directorial works include Sonny Boy, ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Department, The Tatami Time Machine Blues, and the upcoming film Ghost.
SPY x FAMILY Season 3 will be available overseas on sites like Crunchyroll, Bilibili, and the Muse Asia YouTube Channel. The new season is directed by Yukiko Imai, who was previously the storyboard artist and director for Season 1’s Episode 8 and 20 and Season 2’s Episode 2.
The anime is based on the Shueisha-published manga by Tatsuya Endo, which began serialization on Shonen Jump+ in 2019 and will release its 16th volume on October 3, 2025 JST. The SPY x FAMILY anime debuted in April 2022 with a split-cour first season and was followed by a one-cour second season that premiered in October 2023 and an anime movie titled Spy x Family Code: White that was released in late 2023.
