The April Showers Bring May Flowers TV anime adaptation that was announced in 2022 will begin airing in July of this year. A teaser trailer and visual have been released, and the staff and cast were also announced.
Minato Mirai (Mission: Yozakura Family) is serving as the director and series composer for the SILVER LINK. production. Among the other staff credits are Miwa Oshima (My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!) as character designer and Beat (animation director on episodes of Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms et al.) as sub-character designer.
Meanwhile, the main cast includes Saori Hayami as Hana Tabata, Shimba Tsuchiya as Yosuke Ueno, Yoshino Aoyama as Sumire Uguisudani, and Yoshimasa Hosoya as Tetsuo Gotanda. The manga was serialized in KADOKAWA’s Young Ace from 2016 to 2022. It is collected into 12 tankoubon volumes.
Synopsis:
Pessimistic high school student Hana Tabata doesn’t believe her life could ever be like that of a heroine from the shoujo manga she reads she’s convinced she’s ugly, and she’s always alone.
