A second new main PV trailer, key visual, and additional cast have been unveiled for the upcoming Zatsu Tabi -That’s Journey- TV anime series, which will premiere in Japan on April 7, 2025.
Masaharu Watanabe (Re: Zero Season 1 and 2) is directing the anime series, with Yoshiko Nakamura (Sasaki and Miyano) as series screenwriter and Yoshiaki Fujisawa (A Place Further Than The Universe) as music composer. Makaria is in charge of the animation production.
Other staff includes rere (Dropkick on My Devil!!: Apocalypse Day co-animation director) as chief animation director and character designer, Chisato Nakata (Wake Up, Girls! clothing design) and Ayako Oki as prop designers, Nanami Hakoda (Rising Impact, Vampire Dormitory) as costume designer, Kana Arai as art director, Wish’s Kazuko Kikuchi (My Hero Academia) as color designer, Hiroaki Yanagisawa as 3DCG director, Cyan’s Ayumi Itakura (Wakako-zake) as compositing director of photography, and Yayoi Tateishi (Isekai Cheat Magician) as sound director.
The original manga series by Kenta Ishizaka began serialization in ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Maoh magazine on March 27, 2019 and has released 12 tankobon volumes as of December 2024. A spinoff manga series was launched in October 2023.
Synopsis:
Zatsu Tabi -That’s Journey- follows an amateur manga artist named Chika Suzugamori, who goes on a journey of self discovery after receiving numerous draft rejections. Looking for inspiration, she decides to start traveling without a goal by using online questionnaires to find her next destination.
