A new trailer and a key visual for Ranma 1/2 Season 2 have been released. The former includes a preview of the Wednesday Campanella opening theme song “Wo Ai Ni” (“I Love You” in Mandarin) and peeks of a Romeo and Juliet play with Ranma and Akane.
Netflix also confirmed that the show will debut on the streamer on October 4 — previously, it was revealed that the series will have its Japanese broadcast debut on October 4 JST (effectively October 5 at 12:55 AM JST), with the Netflix premiere happening afterwards.
The show is based on the manga by Rumiko Takahashi, which debuted in the 36th 1987 issue of Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday and ended in the 12th 1996 issue of the magazine. The new Ranma 1/2 anime is the second remake of a Takahashi manga after the four-cour Urusei Yatsura anime.
