A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special Season 2 Unveils Premieres in 2026 - A new trailer has been unveiled for the upcoming second season of A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special, which will premiere sometime in 2026. Crunchyroll announced that it will stream the second season as it airs after streaming the first season.
Taishi Kawaguchi (Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut assistant director) directed the first season, with Takamitsu Kouno (She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man) as series screenwriter, Hiromi Katou (Goblin Slayer II) as character designer, and Kenta Higashiooji (Pole Princess!!) as music composer. Arvo Animation was in charge of the animation production, with Kawaguchi also serving as the studio’s president.
Meanwhile, the main voice cast stars Takuma Terashima as Desir, Sayumi Suzushiro as Romantica, and Natsumi Fujiwara as Pram Schneider. The original South Korean web novel was written by Usonan and serialized on the digital comic and fiction platform KakaoPage from September 2, 2016 to August 3, 2019. Eight volumes were released in total.
A manhwa adaptation with new illustrations by Wookjakga has been serialized on KakaoPage since May 19, 2018, with seven volumes being released as of March 2025. The manhwa is published in Japan digitally by Piccoma and in print by Kadokawa Shoten. Yen Press also releases the series in English print. Tapas Media and TappyToon are releasing the manhwa series in English.
Synopsis
