Let’s Play TV Anime Reveals New Visual & Main Opening - A new visual and main opening theme animation sequence have been revealed for the upcoming Let’s Play TV anime series. The anime is scheduled to begin broadcasting in Japan on October 1, 2025. The newly released visual was created by the anime’s production studio OLM, while the opening animation sequence is produced by Kamikaze Douga and French animation studio Bobbypills.
Japanese R&B singer Toshinobu Kubota is performing the anime’s main opening theme “1, 2, Play” and ending theme “Left & Right.” The anime’s official Twitter/X and website also announced that the show would receive a new short web manga adaptation by Kei Kumoi and produced by GEEK WONDERS. The web manga will be posted on the anime’s Twitter/X account, and adapts part of the anime’s first episode.
Kakao’s Piccoma platform is also publishing the Japanese version of the original webcomic on its service, starting October 1, 2025. In addition, Let’s Play creator Leeanne M. Krecic (also known as Mongie) will be present at a panel during this year’s New York Comic Con on October 10, 2025. Krecic will tease some new panels from the webcomic’s fourth season, a clip from the anime series, and a new tabletop game based on the series.

Daiki Tomiyasu (Pokémon Sun & Moon) is directing the anime series, Ayumi Moriyama as assistant director, Aya Matsui (Marmalade Boy) as series screenwriter, Saki Ebisawa as character designer, Ebimo (High Card, Kawagoe Boys Sing) original character designer, and Conisch (Pokémon Horizons: The Series) as music composer.
The anime is based on the romantic comedy webcomic series by Krecic, which was originally published digitally on WEBTOON between 2016 to 2022. The webcomic concluded with its “third season” in September 2022. Krecic later announced that there will not be a fourth season on WEBTOON due to various difficulties with the platform.
Synopsis
