The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife Reveals January Debut - A new key visual and more cast members have been revealed for the upcoming The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife TV anime series, which will debut in Japan starting on January 8, 2026. The anime was originally supposed to premiere this year, but was announced to be delayed to 2026.
Mitsuho Seta (Magical Girl holoWitches! animation PV alternate dimension designer, background art director, color designer et al.) is directing and serving as the series screenwriter, with Kairi Unabara (the upcoming Witch Hat Atelier) as character designer and Yoichi Kadono as suit design supervisor. Project No.9 is in charge of the animation production.
The anime is based on the manga by IWATOBINEKO, which began as a Twitter comic and has been serialized in Futabasha’s Web Action since September 4, 2021. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga for release in English.
Synopsis
Akira Tounome is an invisible gentleman who runs a detective agency, and Shizuka Yakou is a mild mannered human female who works there. Shizuka can always find Akira even when he turns completely invisible. A quiet love begins to blossom between them as the invisible man and blind girl grow closer to each other.
