‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess Season 2 Reveals January Premiere - A new key visual and main theme song artists have been revealed for the upcoming second season of ‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess, which will begin broadcasting in Japan on January 12, 2025. New theme song artists have also been announced for season two. South Korean girl group ILLIT will perform the second season’s opening theme, while Japanese singer-songwriter Yuika will perform the ending theme. 

Yoko Kanamori is directing the second season, with Keichiro Ochi (The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten) as series screenwriter, Toshiya Kono as character designer, Masaaki Takiyama and Yo Natsuki (new) as sub-character designers, and Masaru Yokoyama as music composer. PINE JAM is in charge of the animation production. 

Yasuho Tamura, Shuhei Arita (new), Ayaka Kondo (Fate/Strange Fake co-animation director), and Akiko Kanai (new) are credited as food and prop designers. The anime is based on the fantasy comedy manga series, written by Robinson Haruhara and illustrated by Hirakei. It began serialization in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ from April 4, 2019 to August 19, 2025. Eighteen tankobon volumes have been released as of November 2025. The manga has also been released in English digitally on Manga Plus.

Synopsis

As the war between the Imperial Army and Hellhorde rages on, the Princess, despite being armed with her mythical sword Excalibur, is captured and imprisoned. What kind of torture does she face at the hands of the chief demon interrogator? Fluffy fresh-baked toast! Hot, steaming ramen! Oh, the humanity! Can the Princess withstand these tormenting treats and keep her kingdom’s secrets safe?
