Monster Eater Receives Anime in April 2026 - AnimationID announced on its Twitter/X account that the Monster Eater webtoon series is receiving a “light anime” adaptation that will premiere in April 2026. A key visual and trailer for the light anime were also released.
Hikaru Sato is serving as director for the light anime series, with Kazuya Takahashi in charge of the production supervision and nanogram.inc providing production assistance. IMAGICA Infos and Imageworks Studio are the animation production companies.
The original fantasy light novel series is written by Renkino and illustrated by Kawaku. It was published by Earth Star Entertainment from August 18, 2023 to January 17, 2024, with two volumes being released in Japan. The series began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro on March 31, 2023.
LINE Manga launched a webtoon adaptation on June 29, 2024, which feature illustrations by Kei Ichimatsu and Tanako Tanao. Another separate manga adaptation by TATE began serialization on Square Enix’s Manga UP! service on August 21, 2024.
Synopsis:
