Dorohedoro Season 2 April Premiere - A new key visual has been revealed for the upcoming second season of Dorohedoro, which will premiere worldwide via streaming on April 1, 2026. It has not yet been announced which international streaming platforms will release the second season.
TOHO Animation’s official English Twitter/X account unveiled an English version of the new visual. It also announced that the first season will be available on “even more platforms” starting on March 8, 2026. More details will be confirmed at a later date.
Yuichiro Hayashi (Attack on Titan Final Season) returns to direct the second season, with Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan Final Season) as series composer, Tomohiro Kishi (Attack on Titan: The Last Attack) as character designer, and Fuminori Nomoto as 3DCG director. MAPPA is handling the animation production, having previously worked on season one.
The anime is based on the dark fantasy action manga series by Q Hayashida, which debuted in the now-defunct Monthly IKKI magazine on November 30, 2000 and was serialized there until September 25, 2014. It later moved to the magazine Hibana, which also ceased publication, where it ran from March 6, 2015 to August 7, 2017. The series was then transferred to Shogakukan’s Monthly Shonen Sunday on November 10, 2017, where it ran until September 12, 2018. Twenty-three tankobon volumes have been released in total.
Synopsis:
In a city so dismal it’s known only as “the Hole,” a clan of Sorcerers have been plucking people off the streets to use as guinea pigs for atrocious “experiments” in the black arts. In a dark alley, Nikaido found Caiman, a man with a reptile head and a bad case of amnesia. To undo the spell, they’re hunting and killing the Sorcerers in the Hole, hoping that eventually they’ll kill the right one. But when En, the head Sorcerer, gets word of a lizard-man slaughtering his people, he sends a crew of “cleaners” into the Hole, igniting a war between two worlds.
