A new trailer has been released for the upcoming Potion, Waga Mi o Tasukeru “light anime” series, previewing the show’s main opening theme song. The series is scheduled to begin broadcasting in Japan on October 2, 2025.
The latest trailer highlights the light anime’s main opening theme is “Koi no Magic Potion” by Japanese female rock band TRIDENT, which is a cover song of Scanch’s original 1991 single. TRiDENT is also singing the show’s ending theme “MIRACRAID.”
Mikiko Furukawa (Moriarty’s Perfect Crime) is directing the light anime, with bermei.inazawa as music composer and Yuichi Imaizumi (Medalist) as sound director. Studio KAIBA is credited with the animation assistance, while Kazuya Takahashi is in charge of the production supervision. IMAGICA Infos and Imageworks Studio are in charge of the animation production.
The original isekai fantasy light novel series is written by Akira Iwafune and illustrated by Sunaho Tobe. It was first published under Shufunotomo’s Hero Bunko imprint on April 27, 2015 and has released 10 volumes as of September 2024. It began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro that was published from April 10, 2014 to September 21, 2024.
Potion, Waga Mi o Tasukeru follows an ordinary high school girl awakening in another world, where she finds herself in possession of a mysterious book that allows her to create potions.
